Patience and Hard Work Are Part of the Journey

For a long time I have wanted a flower garden. With a little patience and hard work, I can now look out my kitchen window and see my garden starting to come up out of the ground. It is so exciting for me to see the green plant shoots. It didn’t just happen overnight. I had to convince my husband that tilling up the green grass was going to be worth it. Bit by bit all that hard work I have done is starting to show results.

That is what I am doing on this wellness journey that I am now on. I know that the end results will be worth it for me. Slowly I take this trip. I say slowly because I have been moving pretty slowly on my goals the past couple of weeks. My gauge hasn’t moved too much, but I keep on trucking. Life can be very busy for all of us, and it’s easy to stray off course. The important thing is to get back on track if we veer off a bit. I had kind of slacked off on my stretching exercises but now have picked up my pace again. I feel so much better when I can take care of me. That is hard to do, but we need to carve out that little bit of “me” time. As I watch my flowers grow, I see what hard work can accomplish, so I’m working on moving my gauge to my goal. I am learning to take care of me because I am worth it.
